| Abortion, a General Statement |
On a woman's right to obtain a legal abortion, I am pro-choice. However, I respect the beliefs of, those who disagree with this position. I understand their outrage at the thought of their forced tax dollars being used to finance abortions, and I oppose federal or state funding of abortions.

| Life Beginning at Conception |
Even before and over the last millinium both English and American law and jurisprudence have not granted legal rights to a fetus, but only a live-birthed child. I believe that a fetus is a potential human life but that not all potential comes into being from a variety of reasons. I also do not feel that it is proper to give a potential human life priority over an actual life in being. For this reason I am pro-choice and believe the decision to bear a child or not belongs to the female carrying the fetus, and that choice should guided by her family and doctor.
